James Dobson has Jumped the Shark

Well, James Dobson has finally jumped the shark tank.  I'm envisioning him on Fonzie's motorcycle wearing the cool leather jacket as he is spreading the message of fear across the land.
I found this letter from a link on Andrew Sullivan's website tonight.  The letter is full of the most crazy, delusional, and crazy (yep, it's that bad) ranting that I may have ever heard detailing how the USA will look and operate after only four years of an Obama administration.  Some of the best (craziest) predictions are:
Freedom of Speech will be revoked.  Any publishing house that prints an anti-homosexual message will have been shut down.
Gasoline will cost $7 per gallon because Obama has outlawed all new oil drilling.
"Since 2009 terrorist bombs have exploded in two large and two small U.S. cities, killing  hundreds, and the entire country is now fearful, for no place seems safe."
Due to the liberal Supreme Court's overturning all of the FCC's restrictions on obscene speech and visual content , pornography is openly displayed at all times of the day and night on TV.
And my favorite..."Because medical resources now must be rationed carefully by the government, people over 80 have essentially no access to hospitals or surgical procedures."

Now for a little self disclosure...the author of this letter is known as "A Christian from 2012," but I still lay this squarely at the feet of Dobson.
Also, I am a Christian, and I teach Sunday school for the high school youth at my church.  However, the message from Focus on the Family does not square with any of my beliefs.

Correction on an earlier diary

I am not sure the proper protocol to follow when an idea put forth by myself turns out to look false, so I'll just stand up and take it in the teeth.  Earlier, i had linked some information from andrew sullivan's blog about Palin not looking pregnant.  Well, he has just posted photos that show her looking pregnant.  It sure seems that I was wrong for opening up this can of worms/line of discussion on this site.  I do apologize for that.
On the bright side, I really enjoyed the comments and discussion that my lame diary brought forth.  There was a real back and forth between the differing approaches to campaigning, a la, "We should not go down this sleazy road," to "Hey!  It's about time the Democrats stood up and threw some questions into the MSM, even if they are seemingly sleazy."
This community is great.  Surely can band together to get the old regime out and a new and fresh vision into the WH.

Let's Try the Story THIS Way...

Okay,
I got some good feedback for the diary I just deleted about Palin possibly being the grandmother to Trig, and not the mother.  And truthfully, I don't want to sling mud, but I do want to apply some heat to the McCain/Palin ticket.
So, let's try this link:

This is factual, and hopefully passes the smell test.
Once again, I do appreciate all of the comments from the previous diary, and I deleted it quickly.

Terry McAuliffe to help the Obama Campaign

Wow!  I was stressed out all day awaiting the Hillary speech tonight.  All day long I was setting up my middle school classroom (we start next week here in SoCal) and listening to MSNBC's coverage of the convention.  I worked myself into a mega-depressed state while listening to the pundits and interviews from Clinton supporters (Linda Sanchez and Terry McAuliffe, among others) who were dancing around the issue of whole-heartedly supporting Obama/Biden.  Then I listened to Warner.  Ugh.  He may be good in Virginia, but the speech was flat.  As the buildup to Senator Clinton's speech approached, I kept thinking about McAuliffe and remembering the energy he brought to the '92 and '96 campaigns, and how that was absent now.
Then Senator Clinton superseded all expectations and brought the house down with her speech.  I was feeling really good, but a little nervous still.  However, around 9:24 pm (PDT), McAuliffe was being interviewed by Tweety and Olbermann and he said this, "What I would do if I were Barack Obama, I would put Hillary Clinton, I'd put her in that state (Ohio) for the next 72 days.  She was the champion of Blue Collar, let her get out there and let her bring those voters home."
